Sony Xperia XA Ultra Review
Today we will be reviewing a smartphone, Sony Xperia XA Ultra manufactured by Sony Corporations, a multinational company that manufactures different types of electric appliances including smartphones. Giving continuity to this trend, on 2016, July, Sony launched a smartphone, Sony Xperia XA Ultra and like other devices, Sony XA Ultra also operates Android OS. Further, Sony Xperia XA Ultra can be said as the big brother of Sony Xperia XA Dual which was launched on 2016, June.
The Sony Xperia XA Ultra, just its small sibling, is made up of metal and polycarbonate. The front glass is also rounded which gives the device a top-quality look. And just like other smartphones, the device features an earpiece on the top on its front part. The device features the high resolution and large sensor front facing camera, a LED flashlight, a notification LED light and different sensors below the earpiece. The capacitive home button, recent app button and back button are attached on the screen.
The Sony Xperia XA Ultra sports a power button on the right-hand side supported by the volume adjusting keys and its own two-step camera button. Further, it possesses the SIM card slots and microSD card slot at the left-hand side. The device also possesses a 3.5 mm headphone socket and secondary mic at the top. Furthermore, the device features a mic, a speaker and USB Type-B port at the bottom. The rear part carries the main facing camera and a LED flashlight.
Furthermore, the Sony Xperia XA Ultra is equipped with big 6.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive screen with full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and ~294 ppi pixel density. The device has got good display compared with small sibling the Xperia XA Dual. The device also has got good viewing angles and maximum brightness is also high. The device is also protected by scratch resistant glass from its front which doesn’t let it get scratched.
The Sony Xperia XA Ultra runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and soon may get an Android 7.0 Nougat update. Moreover, it has been furnished with MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset and Octa-Core (4 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4 x 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU. Further coming towards the graphic processor, the device comes with Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The Sony Xperia XA Ultra comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 200 GB using microSD card.
Besides, the Sony Xperia XA Ultra has been equipped with 21.5 MP, f/2.2 aperture lens, phase detection autofocus rear camera. The main camera has got different features like panorama, face detection, geo-tagging, touch focus, 1/2.4″ sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size and many more. The rear camera can capture really good photos with every detail and low noise. However the main camera lacks image stabilization which can be noted as a disadvantage. Over all, the camera is good and is able of shooting videos at 1080p@30fps.
Further, the device has been furnished with 16 MP, f/2.0 aperture lens, 1//2.6″ sensor size front facing camera. The device is popular for its front facing camera. The camera is able to capture high resolution photos. Moreover, the front facing camera is supported by a front facing LED flashlight to take better photos during at night.
Also, the device has been packed with only 2700 Li-Ion mAh non-removable battery. The device supports the fast charging functionality. The battery, despites of its capacity, does not last long, and is not usable for longer period of time. The device is available in white, graphite black, lime gold colors.
