Micromax Canvas 5 E481 Review
Today we will review Micromax Canvas 5 E481, a smartphone operating with Android OS and manufactured by Micromax Informatics Ltd., an Indian telecommunication company that started manufacturing smartphones focusing the low-budgeted customers. Following the process of manufacturing smartphones, Micromax launched Micromax Canvas 5 E481 on November, 2015. The Micromax Canvas 5 E481 was the predecessor of the Micromax Canvas Silver 5.
The Micromax Canvas 5 E481 is made up of metal and plastic. The device is made up of plastic at the rear. However, it looks like leather and gives the same feel. Also, the back panel is made up of nice plastic and is flexible enough. The device features metal finish on the sides and likely to mid-range smartphones like Oppo F3 and others, it also features 2.5D curved corning gorilla glass in the front which makes it look classy.
The device possesses an earpiece, a front facing camera, a notification LED light, different sensors, and a front facing LED flashlight on the top of the screen. Moreover, the capacitive home, recent app and back buttons can be seen in the screen. The device, at the rear, carries rear facing camera, a dual tone LED flashlight along with the Micromax logo and the speaker grille.
Moreover, the Micromax Canvas 5 E481 obtains power button and volume controllers at the right side and carries nothing at the left. The device acquires earphone port at its top and micro USB port and a microphone at the bottom.
Furthermore, Micromax has marketed the Micromax Canvas 5 E481 with 5.2 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The device comes with full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels having ~423 ppi pixels density. The device also receives scratch resistant corning gorilla glass 3 and 2.5D curved touch panel. The screen of the device is of high contrast, and is sharp. Also, the screen is of rich vivid and provides good viewing angle.
The Micromax Canvas 5 E481, besides, employs Android 5.1 Lollipop and Micromax has planned to roll Android 6.0 Marshmallow for this device. Further, the device is equipped with Mediatek MT6753 chipset, Octa-Core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, and Mali-T720MP3 graphic processing unit. Also, the device comes with 16 GB of internal memory and 3 GB of RAM. The device features a microSD card slot which helps to expand the space up to 64 GB.
Besides, Micromax has sported 13 MP, autofocus rear facing camera on the Micromax Canvas 5 E481. Also, the device features dual tone LED flashlight. The rear camera features the manual manual mode which allows to adjust the ISO. Also, the rear camera captures full HD videos at 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device, furthermore, comes with 5 MP front facing camera and a front facing LED flashlight.
Similarly, the Micromax Canvas 5 E481 is powered up with 2900 mAh non-removable battery. However, the device, just like other mid-range smartphones, is deprived of fast charging functionality.
