Ducati Panigale 1199 R Review
Ducati is a renowned two wheeler manufacturing company which has produced and marketed powerful motorbikes under various nameplates like Ducati Monster Series, Ducati Hypermotard Series, Ducati Multistrada Series, Ducati Scrambler Series, etc. The same company, following its tradition of manufacturing motorcycle, introduced a series of sports motorcycle, Ducati Panigale. The Panigale Series consists of sports motorcycle like the Panigale 1199, Panigale 1299 and Panigale 1299 S. The company, in the year 2012, released the Panigale 1199 R, an updated version of Panigale 1199.
The Panigale 1199 R has been built on the same body platform. However, the 1199 R variant has been painted with two color schemes which make the bike look much more attractive. The 1199 R variant comes with lightened engine internals which includes titanium connecting rods and carbon fiber external parts.
Moreover, the Panigale 1199 R is 15 mm shorter than Panigale 1199 having the length of 2060 mm. However, the Panigale 1199 R is 167 mm taller than Panigale 1199, possessing height of 1277 mm. Also, the Panigale 1199 R is 745 mm wide and 184 kg heavy. Besides, the front wheel and the rear wheel of the bike maintain the gap of 1442 mm with each other.
Furthermore, the Ducati Panigale 1199 R has been powered with superquadro L-twin, 4 desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, liquid cooled engine that provides maximum power of 205 bhp @ 11500 RPM and maximum torque of 136.2 Nm @ 10250 RPM. Further, the bike is equipped with Öhlins NIX30 43mm with TiN, fully adjustable usd fork front suspension and fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 unit, adjustable linkage: progressive/flat, aluminium single-sided swingarm with adjustable pivot rear suspension.
