Apple iPhone 7 Plus Review
Today we will review a smartphone known as the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, world’s expensive flagship device till the date. Apple has been manufacturing iPhones from 2007 and following the same trend, it released it’s another flagship smartphone on September, 2016 along with its younger sibling iPhone 7. And this device too was the successor of iPhone 6 Plus and 6s Plus.
The iPhone 7 Plus, just like the iPhone 7, too is made out of an aluminum body and undergoes through the same process as of iPhone 7 which gives it a premium glossy look. The device too features the protection of Ion-strengthened glass and oleophobic coating in the front. Also, the device is protected in various ways to make the device dust and water resistant.
The iPhone 7 Plus features an earpiece followed by a front facing camera at the left and various sensors above it on the top bezel. And the iPhone 7 Plus has replaced the physical home button with the capacitive touch home button which can also be noticed in the iPhone 7. And yes, the home button too works as a fingerprint sensor.
The bottom of the iPhone 7 Plus features reversible connector USB charging port, a primary microphone and a speaker grill. Moreover, the iPhone 7 Plus, just like the iPhone 7, lacks any headphone socket. The device includes power key and SIM card tray below it on the right hand side. Similarly, the left hand side contains volume adjusting keys and silent key. Besides, the rear part of the device includes main camera, dual tone LED flashlight, and a secondary mic along with the Apple logo in the center-rear.
Moreover, the iPhone 7 Plus, as it’s the bigger brother of iPhone 7, comes with 5.5 inches LED-backlit IPS LCD retina display featuring the full resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (~401 ppi pixel density). The screen produces vibrant and accurate color and also features wide color gamut. Nevertheless, the screen could have been better as of the Samsung Galaxy S7. Further, the iPhone 7 Plus also features a light sensor that makes the device users’ convenient by automatically adjusting screen’s brightness.
Furthermore, the iPhone 7 Plus runs iOS 10.0.1 which is further upgradable to iOS 10.3.2. Besides, the device is operated with Apple A10 Fusion chipset, Quad-Core 2.34 GHz (2x Hurricane + 2x Zephyr) and PowerVR Series 7XT Plus (six-core graphics). Moreover, the device is available featuring 32 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB of internal memory and 3 GB of RAM. However, the device just like other iPhones is deprived of microSD card tray.
The iPhone 7 Plus is equipped with dual 12 MP (28mm, f/1.8, OIS and 56mm, f/2.8), phase detection autofocus 2x optical zoom main camera which is supported by a quad-LED flashlight. The main camera too comes with features like 1/3” sensor size @ 28 mm, 1/3.6” sensor size @ 56mm, geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 8 MP image recording, touch focus, and so on. The main camera is good enough to capture perfect shot. The camera too performs well in the lowlight condition. Also, the main camera is capable of shooting videos at different resolution and frame rate like 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps and 720p@240fps.
Further, the device acquires 7 MP, f/2.2, 32 mm front facing camera and too possesses features like face detection, HDR, panorama, etc. The front facing camera too does it job very well in both bright and lowlight condition. Moreover, the front camera too helps users to shoot videos at 1080p@30fps and 720p@240fps.
Besides, the iPhone 7 Plus is powered with Li-Ion 2900 mAh users’ non-removable battery. Nevertheless, we are not sure if the device possess of is deprived of fast charging functionality. Moreover, the device is packed with powerful battery which is capable of giving backup for more than 7 hours. Further, the 7 Plus is available in different colors like jet black, black, silver, gold, rose gold, and red.
