Samsung Galaxy J2 Review
Lets gain some ideas about Samsung Galaxy J2, an Android smartphone manufactured and marketed by Samsung Electronics by having a look at this review. The Samsung Galaxy J2 was launched in September 2015. This device is the predecessor of Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro and J2 2016 which were launched in July 2016. The device was launched lacking many features which were later added in its successors.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 has been built up with body design as of other devices of J Series launched for the first time. The device having normal design does not look that much stylish and attractive. The device, comparing to successor Galaxy J2 Pro and J2 2016, is a little bit thin and low-weighted too. Just like Samsung’s other smartphones, Galaxy J2 has got the same look. The device, in the forepart features an earpiece on the top, a front facing camera and has sensors alongside. There is a home button, a recent app button and a back button featured under the display of the gadget and the two recent app and back buttons lacks backlit.
The device, just like other smartphones of Samsung Galaxy J Series, features power button on the right-hand side of the device and the speaker has been placed at rear next to camera. Furthermore, the volume adjusting keys have been placed on the left-hand side of the device. Besides, the bottom part of the device features a USB Type-B port, a 3.5mm headphone socket and a mic. The SIM card slots and microSD card slot has been placed beneath the battery, which means the rear panel can be opened.
Comparing about the display between both devices, the Samsung Galaxy J2 has a small screen having 4.7 inches Super AMOLED screen and 540 x 960 pixels with 234 ppi pixel density whereas, the Galaxy J2 had 5.0 inches 720 x 1280 pixels 294 ppi pixel density screen . And because both devices have been featured by SAMOLED display technology, the devices can be used under intense lighting.
Besides, talking about software of Samsung Galaxy J2, it runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version out-of-the-box. The device, Samsung Galaxy J2 has been equipped with Exynos 3475 Quad-Core 1.3 GHz Cortex –A7 processor, Mali-T720 graphic processor and 1GB of RAM. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can later be expanded upto 128 GB with the help of external microSD card. Nevertheless, its successors have got 16 GB of ROM. None of the device features fingerprint protection.
Talking about camera, the Galaxy J2 and J2 Pro has got different rear camera. The Samsung Galaxy J2 comes with 5 MP rear facing camera having f/2.2 aperture lens whereas, its successor has got 8 MP rear facing camera. Furthermore, there is change in front facing camera too. The Galaxy J2 features 2 MP f/2.2 aperture lens whereas, J2 Pro has been equipped with 5 MP f/2.2 aperture lens. Both devices lack front facing LED flash light.
Talking about batteries, both devices have got different batteries. The Samsung Galaxy J2 has been furnished with 2000 mAh removable battery, whereas, Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro comes with 2600 mAh removable battery. None of these supports fast charging.
