Lenovo A6600 Review
Giving continuity to the trend of manufacturing budget-friendly mid-range smartphones, Lenovo, a renowned multinational company released its next budget smartphone, the Lenovo A6600 on October, 2016 in the international market. And today we are reviewing the same Lenovo A6600.
The Lenovo A6600, just like other mid-range smartphones, is totally made up of a plastic. However, the sides, despites of being plastic made, looks like metal frame which makes the device look premium. The back panel of the device too is made up of a standard plastic. Further, the back panel is removable which gives access to the battery house. Moreover, the device lacks protection in the front.
The Lenovo A6600 features an earpiece on the top of display followed by a front facing camera, and sensors like proximity, gravitation and light. Further, the device features capacitive home, recent app and back buttons below the screen. However, the capacitive touch buttons lack backlit which can be noticed in many mid-range devices of Lenovo.
Moreover, the Lenovo A6600 features a 3.5 mm earphone socket and the micro USB port on the top. Similarly, we can notice that the bottom part of the device comprises of primary microphone. However, this device too lacks secondary microphone. The device carries volume keys and power key on the right side. Besides, the A6600 carries main camera followed by flashlight just below it. The rear part, further, contains Lenovo branding and a speaker grille at the bottom.
Furthermore, the Lenovo A6600 is built with 5.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and also features the 720 x 1280 pixels HD resolution and ~294 ppi pixels density. The color production of the screen is good as it produces vibrant and saturated colors. The device also gives decent viewing angles experience to the users. Further, the device also features light sensor which automatically adjust screen’s brightness in accordance to the environment.
Moreover, the Lenovo ships A6600 operating with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, however, the OS is not upgradable. Further, the device is functioned with Mediatek MT6735P chipset, Quad-Core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T720MP2 GPU under the hood. The Lenovo A6600, besides, comes with 16 GB of internal memory and 1 GB of RAM. Further, the device acquires a card slot which allows users to expand the storage up to 32 GB.
Furthermore, the Lenovo A6600, just like the Vibe P1m, sports 8 MP, autofocus rear facing camera assisted by a LED flashlight. The main camera also possesses various features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and so on. The device also sports 2 MP of front facing camera. The main camera is capable of capturing nice photos in daytime, however, captures noisy photos in the lowlight.
The Lenovo A6600, besides, is powered with Li-Ion 2300 mAh removable battery. Nevertheless, the A6600, likely to other low and mid-range smartphones, is deprived of fast charging. Further, the device possesses a good battery which can backup for more than a day with 100% charge.
Additionally, the Lenovo A6600 is available in two colors; matte black and matte white in the market.
