ZTE Axon Mini Premium Review
A Chinese mobile company, ZTE which has been manufacturing and marketing mid-range smartphones, released its flagship smartphone, ZTE Axon Mini on November, 2015. The Axon Mini was the small version of the ZTE Axon Pro. And today we are reviewing the same device.
The ZTE Axon Mini Premium is made up of an aluminum alloy and a plastic and looks a lot like the ZTE Axon Elite. The front part of the device receives the aluminum frame, whereas, the rear part is made up of plastic. Moreover, the top and bottom part of the rear panel is made up of leather. The front too features 3D Touch Display as of the iPhone 6s and triangular shapes above and below the bezel which make the device look premium.
The ZTE Axon Mini Premium features an earpiece in the top triangles, whereas, the speaker grille and a microphone is placed at the bottom triangle. The device also features a front facing camera and sensors above the screen and the capacitive keys are attached in the screen.
Moreover, the Axon Mini Premium acquires a 3.5 mm earphone socket at the top. Similarly, the bottom part comprises of the micro USB port. The device features a hybrid SIM slot and power key on the right side, and the left side possesses a volume alteration leys. The device, further, features a primary camera, same triangles, a flashlight and fingerprint sensor on the rear side.
Furthermore, the Axon Mini Premium, despites of being a mini version, is outfitted with 5.2 inches full HD Super AMOLED screen with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels having ~424 ppi pixels density. The screen produces vibrant color, deeper black, and colors are accurate and saturated. The device also provides good viewing angle. Moreover, the device features light sensor which automatically adjusts brightness in accordance with the environment.
Furthermore, ZTE Axon Mini Premium is operated with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, however, is not upgradable to any other software launched by the Android. Further, the device is functioned with Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 chipset, Octa-Core (4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and Adreno 405 GPU. The Axon Mini Premium, further, features 32 GB of internal memory and 2 GB of RAM. The storage can further be expanded to 128 GB using a microSD card.
Additionally, the ZTE Axon Mini Premium equips 13 MP, phase detection autofocus main facing camera which is supported by a rear flashlight. The main camera also comes with features like geo-tagging, touch focus, dace detection, HDR, panorama, and so on. Further, the camera also is capable of shooting full HD videos at 1080 pixels. Further, the device carries 8 MP of front facing camera. However, its big brother features dual rear facing camera which is capable of shooting UHD videos at 2160p@30fps.
In addition, the ZTE Axon Mini Premium is stocked with 2800 mAh users’ non-removable battery. However, the device is not supported by fast charging functionality which can be listed as a disadvantage. Nevertheless, its big brother features this function. The device features powerful battery that gives backup for 5 to 6 hours. Moreover, the ZTE Axon Mini Premium is available three different colors; gold, chromium silver and rose gold.
