ZTE Blade S6 Review
The world of smartphone is changing in accordance with the time and the mobile manufacturers too are flowing with the change. Following the change, a Chinese mobile manufacturer, ZTE released a budget-friendly smartphone, ZTE Blade S6 on 2015, February which was the predecessor of the ZTE Blade S7. And we are reviewing the same device today.
Looking at the smartphone, the device looks like the Apple’s iPhone 6. The curved sides, rounded corner, and the placement of the company’s branding are as of the iPhone. However, talking about the build quality, the ZTE Blade S6 is made up of a plastic, rather than a metal which is covered with a smooth satin finish. The device’s rear panel, nevertheless, is slippery. The device also features a glass at the front.
The ZTE Blade S6 features an earpiece on the top bezel followed by sensors and a front facing camera at the left and right hand side. The device, further, features a capacitive round blue-colored home button below the screen. The home button also works as a notification LED light. Further, the two recent app and back button can also be noticed on each side of the home button.
Moreover, a 3.5 mm earphone socket can be noticed at the top. The device, besides, possesses the micro USB port and a primary microphone at the bottom part. Furthermore, the secondary microphone and a speaker grill can also be noticed at the rear part. Besides, the volume adjusting keys and a power key can be noticed at the right hand side. Whereas, the left hand side possesses a SIM cards slot and a microSD card slot.
Moreover, the ZTE Blade S6 features 5.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixels HD resolution (~294 ppi pixels density). The screen produces vibrant color. However, the colors do not look saturated. Texts are sharp, and viewing angles are of average. However, the device also possess light sensor which automatically adjusts brightness in accordance with the environment.
Furthermore, the ZTE Blade S6 is operated with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. Moreover, the device is functioned with Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, Octa-Core (4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4 x 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and Adreno 405 GPU. Besides, the device features 16 GB of internal memory and 2 GB of RAM. Further, the storage can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card slot.
Besides, the ZTE Blade S6 is equipped with 13 MP, f/2.0 aperture lens, autofocus camera and is supported by a single LED flashlight. The main camera possesses various features like 1/3″ sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and so on. The rear camera captures good photos during daytime. And the device too allows to captures perfect self-portraits as it possesses 5 MP of front facing camera.
The ZTE Blade S6, further, is powered with 2400 mAh non-removable battery. However, the device lacks fast charging functionality which is seen in many low and mid-range smartphones. The device, besides, has received good battery and can be used for more than 1 to 2 days without charging the device more than once. The device, moreover, is available in different colors like white, aurora purple, Tahiti brown, Venice gold, and baroque red.
